Who we are
Austin Wilson, trading as Austin Calisthenics (Alexandria, Virginia, United States), is the data controller for personal data collected on austincalisthenics.com. Contact: austincalisthenics@gmail.com.
What we collect
Questionnaire answers: goal, age, height, weight, sex, equipment, schedule, experience, food preferences and allergies, and areas of tightness. Health-condition answers are never stored; we only record whether the safety screen was shown.
Contact and account data: your email address, account and sign-in sessions, your language preference, and questions you send to Austin.
Purchase data: what you bought, when, and the checkout consent you gave.
Coaching data: waiver details, emergency contact, screening answers and booking times.
Usage data: pages viewed, questionnaire steps, device and browser type and IP address, through cookies and analytics.
Why we use it and our legal basis
To build your plan and give you the e-books you bought (contract).
To run coaching safely, including waiver and screening (contract and legal obligation).
To send the sample day or messages you asked for (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and improve our programs (legitimate interests).
We never sell your data.
Who we share it with
Stripe, our payment processor, for payments, tax calculation, receipts, refunds and fraud prevention. Stripe collects your card and billing details directly under its own privacy policy; we never store your full card number.
Service providers that host and run the site, our database and email, Google Analytics, and Calendly and Zoom for coaching.
Professional advisers (legal, accounting), and authorities where the law requires it.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
How long we keep it
Questionnaire and purchase records are kept while you have access and for up to 3 years after, or longer where tax or legal rules require. Coaching waivers are kept for as long as the law requires. After that, we delete or anonymise data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR, UK GDPR and US state laws such as California's), you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Email us and we'll respond within one month.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential features may stop working without them.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and private databases that are never publicly readable. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
Changes
We'll post any updates on this page with a new date.
